A chemical peel is a cosmetic procedure that uses a chemical solution to peel away the damaged or pigmented top layer of the skin. It is the least invasive way that is most commonly done on face, neck and hands to improve their appearance.
The chemical solution is either applied lightly or rubbed more vigorously onto the skin using a sponge, cotton pad, swab, or brush (avoiding your brows, eyes and lips).
